Connect another companion
This advanced setup is for companion apps that let you add a custom server or connector. If you do not see that option in your app’s settings, contact us and tell us which app you use.
Connecting is free. You choose and pay for a plan only after the connection works.
You’ll need: an app with custom remote connections, access to its connection settings, and about five minutes.

Check for custom connections
Open your companion app’s settings and look for Apps, Connectors, Integrations, Tools, or MCP. You need an option that accepts a web address.

Add Starlit Post
Create a new connection and paste the Starlit connection link into the Server URL or Connector URL field.

Copy this link into your companion app.
Paste it into the Server URL or Connector URL field during setup. Do not paste it into the conversation itself.

Sign in securely
Follow the secure Starlit sign-in page opened by your companion app. Never send passwords or access codes as a chat message.

Enable Starlit in your companion conversation
Open the conversation your companion already uses and enable Starlit from its apps, connectors, or tools menu. Use the button in this step to finish your private Starlit setup.
Help your companion recognize moments worth keeping
Optional: share this note in your conversation.
This tells your companion that it may use Starlit naturally. You never need to name a tool or share private account details in chat.

Now complete the private steps.
Sign in, verify your delivery address, and choose a plan. Surprise sending is included automatically. Your companion never sees those private details.
Continue after your companion app shows Starlit as connected. We’ll check the connection again before you can subscribe.
If your app does not open a secure Starlit sign-in page, or Starlit does not appear as an available tool after connecting, the app is not compatible yet. Email support@starlitpost.com and tell us which companion app you use.
